What Colorado Springs locals say are their least favorite chores to do in their home
Few love cleaning. But these tasks are despised the most.
In a past survey among Colorado Springs residence, the question was asked "Which cleaning do you hate the most?"
It's rare to find someone who absolutely loves cleaning. Most of the time if someone enjoys cleaning, they have their favorite tasks that they find therapeutic.
In this survey, I was surprised to find out the top five chores that families don't look forward to doing. Some of them you may relate to. Others might surprise you. Without further delay, let's take a look!
1. Doing the laundry
Most Colorado Springs residence don't enjoy the laundry process, especially the folding and putting away.
For many people, this is a daily chore and turns into multiple loads and can take several hours to complete.
2. Doing the Dishes
Cleaning up the dishes was another chore most people despised, especially after dinner time.
What's surprising is even those who said they used a dishwasher to help clean their dishes complained that the process was inconvenient and required a lot of energy.
3. Scrubbing the Bathtub
Apparently getting on ones hands and knees to scrub the tub wasn't a favorite either.
Although there are some tools that aim to make this job easier (such as rotating scrub brushes or steam cleaners) people expressed that removing soap scum was still a pain in the back and a task they put off as long as possible.
4. Cleaning the Window Blinds
Wiping off old caked on dirt from a thousand window blinds was also high on people's list.
Many people mentioned that the worst kind of blinds were the old school aluminum blinds, mainly because they're sharp and easy to bend out of place when cleaning.
5. Cleaning the Refrigerator
At the top of everyone's list was hating cleaning out the Refrigerator.
On average people reported that it took about an hour of removing items, disassembling shelves and using some extra elbow grease to remove spots, crumbs and hairs.
